In 2007, Fidelity FutureStage began working with the LA Philharmonic to offer symphony experiences and coaching to LA-area public schools. 

Kickoff of the 2010 National Music Program

Students from 16 schools in 4 different cities across the country witnessed the launch of the 2010 Music Program. Four schools from LA were selected to participate in the program, including: Foshay Learning Center, James A. Garfield High School, Renaissance Arts Academy, and Roosevelt High School.

The event was hosted by Actor Dominic Monaghan and featured Actor Jamie Foxx in LA and Actor Joan Cusack in Chicago. Fidelity Investments surprised the 16 schools with a donation of $500,000 worth of new instruments.

Fidelity & LA Phil surprise students with instrument donation worth $56,000

Fidelity’s instrument donation (worth $56,000) to Belvedere Middle School and Van Nuys High School increased the total donation for students in LA schools to $150,000. At the event, Fidelity FutureStage students played alongside four LA Phil musicians, including 20-year old celebrity concert master, Robert Gupta.

Fidelity donates $100,000 worth of new instruments as part of holiday ecard campaign

Fidelity FutureStage and the LA Philharmonic developed a holiday ecard campaign and for every ecard sent, Fidelity Investments donated $1 worth of new instruments for students. As a result of this campaign, Fidelity is donating $100,000 worth of new instruments to students in underserved communities across the country, including­ $20,000 worth of instruments to students in Los Angeles.

Fidelity FutureStage at the Hollywood Bowl

Hollywood Bowl patrons got the opportunity to sign the Fidelity FutureStage signature walls in support of music education. For every signature gathered, Fidelity Investments donates another dollar to provide students with new musical instruments.

 

Local Fidelity FutureStage student ensembles also performed for the audience pre-concert.

Van Nuys High School performs at Fidelity Thousand Oaks branch

In celebration of the Fidelity branch opening in Thousand Oaks, CA in April 2008, students from Van Nuys High School, along with Music Director Robert Eisenhart, performed classical works for the guests.
